TREATMENTS
Panchakarma:
The aim of
all systems
of medicine
is
restoration
of normalcy
in an
individual.
This
normalcy
should
reflect in
all spheres
of life,
physical,
mental and
spiritual.
Ayurveda as
a holistic
system
strives to
restore
normalcy in
the
individual
and it
achieves
this by the
process of
Panchakarma.
This word
Panchakarma
means five
actions. It
is a
cleansing
and
rejuvenating
program for
the body,
mind and
spirit.
Ayurveda tries
to establish the
harmony of
macrocosm in the
microcosm.
Everything in
nature has its
own rhythm.
Panchakarma
eliminates the
harmful
substances out
of the body
which are
present in the
form of Doshas
in an
individual’s
body and thus
restores the
lost harmony.
This unique
concept of the
doshas and the
body relations
are interpreted
as toxins,
viruses,
bacteria etc. by
the different
medical systems.
Doshas get
accumulated in
one’s body due
to environmental
pollution,
improper food
intakes and
changes in the
seasons;
anxiety, fear,
anger etc.
mental factors,
stress. The
accumulated
doshas weaken
all the systems
and create an
ideal setting
for development
of chronic and
degenerative
diseases. The
individual’s
health is
compromised in
the process.
When left
unattended they
develop into
serious ailments
which destroys
one’s health and
wellness.
Panchakarma is
the Ayurvedic
way of removing
accumulated
doshas. By
cleansing the
body of all
accumulated
toxins, this
process restores
the lost
vitality and
improves bodily
function. A
subsequent
change in
lifestyle helps
maintain this
ideal state of
health.
The
panchakarama
specified in
Ayurveda are,
Vamana:
Vamana is mainly
indicated to
eliminate the
Kapha which is
causing the
excess mucus
like substances
in the lungs and
other parts of
the body also.
It is mainly
indicated in
repeated attacks
of cough,
bronchitis,
colds, asthma.
The elimination
of Kapha is done
by scientific
medicated
mixture of the
emetic drugs.
Virechana:
When the
pitta
dosha level
rises in the
body in form of
increased
secretion of
bile and other
toxins and its
accumulation in
digestive system
tends to result
in Jaundice,
skin disorders,
acne, chronic
attacks of
fever,
discomfort in
the stomach,
burning
sensation.
Ayurvedic
literature
suggests in
these conditions
the
administration
of virechana
therapy through
the purgative
herbs. It
eliminates the
Pitta dosha out
of the body and
thus repairs the
metabolism
process and
nutrient
channels.
Nasya:
The nasal
passage is
considered as
the door step to
the brain.
Here medicated
oils are poured
into the
nostrils. It is
the very
beneficial
therapy for the
diseases related
to head, eyes.
Ears,mouth and
throat. Since
nose is the
gateway of the
head, this
therapy helps in
cleansing the
channels of the
head and thus
increases the
oxygenation
process and
improves the
functioning of
the brain. This
therapy makes
the sense organs
healthy,
promotes healthy
hair growth,
prevents graying
of hair and
prevents early
aging. This
therapy helps to
alleviate
various diseases
like sinusitis,
headache,
aphonia, facial
paralysis,
hemiplagia,
mental
disorders,
shoulder pain,
stiffness of
head, neck and
jaw, tetanus,
tonsillitis,
stammering,
hoarseness of
voice and many
more.
2 types of Basti
therapies:-
Pakwashaya or
the large
intestines are
considered as
the seat of Vata
dosha. When this
Vata is
disturbed due to
several factors
of body and
mind, it gives
rise to
different types
of disorders
starting from
simple headache
to the chronic
arthritis and
paralysis also.
Basti is the
most effective
treatment of
Vata disorders
and thus It
relieves
constipation,
distention,
sexual
disorders, heart
pain, backache,
sciatica, pains
in the joints
and many other
vata disorders.
Basti therapy is
divided in two
main types -
Anuvasana Basti
- medicated oil
enemas and
Niruha Basti
- medicated
enema of
decoctions and
medicated oils.

Yoga:
The
word
yoga
is
translated
from
Sanskrit,
and
means
“union,”
that
is,
union
of
the
body,
mind
and
spirit.
Yoga
then
is
about
the
union
of a
person's
own
consciousness
and
the
universal
consciousness.
Yogasana
and
Meditation
procedures
are
the
best
techniques
to
increase
the
concentrations
and
balancing
the
body
and
mind
relations.
It
strengthens
the
mind;
it
also
helps
to
pacify
many
of
the
diseases.
Apart
from
medication,
diet
control
and
exercise
prescribed
by
Ayurved
and
other
medical
treatment,
Yoga
adds
the
key
dimension
of
stress
reduction
and
adoption
of
yoga
way
of
life
for
them.
Ancient
Yogis
had
a
belief
that
in
order
for
man
to
be
in
harmony
with
himself
and
his
environment,
he
has
to
integrate
the
body,
the
mind,
and
the
spirit.
For
these
three
to
be
integrated,
emotion,
action,
and
intelligence
must
be
in
balance.
The
Yogis
formulated
a
way
to
achieve
and
maintain
this
balance
and
it
is
done
through
exercise,
breathing,
and
Meditation
-
the
three
main
Yoga
structures.
In
Yoga,
the
body
is
treated
with
care
and
respect
for
it
is
the
primary
instrument
in
man's
work
and
growth.
Yoga
Exercises improve circulation, stimulate the
abdominal
organs,
and
put
pressure
on
the
glandular
system
of
the
body,
which
can
generally
result
to
better
health.
Breathing
techniques
were
developed
based
on
the
concept
that
breath
is
the
source
of
life.
In
Yoga,
students
gain
breathing
control
as
they
slowly
increase
their
breathing.
By
focusing
on
their
breathing,
they
prepare
their
minds
for
the
next
step
-
Meditation.
There
is a
general
misconception
that
in
Meditation,
your
mind
has
to
go
blank.
It
doesn't
have
to
be
so.
In
Meditation,
students
bring
the
activities
of
the
mind
into
focus
resulting
in a
'quiet'
mind.

Garbha
vigyana:
Life is magic, the way nature works seems
to
be
quite
magical.
A
baby
is
something
you
carry
inside
you
for
nine
months,
in
your
arms
for
three
years
and
in
your
heart
till
the
day
you
die.
All
the
time
we
wondered
and
wondered,
who
is
this
person
coming/growing/turning/floating/swimming
deep,
deep
inside.
A
mother's
joy
begins
when
new
life
is
stirring
inside...
when
a
tiny
heartbeat
is
heard
for
the
very
first
time,
and
a
playful
kick
reminds
her
that
she
is
never
alone.
A
period
is
just
the
beginning
of a
lifelong
sentence.
Wishing
you
a
healthy
and
love-filled
pregnancy!
Pregnancy
is
not
a
merely
physiological
process.
It
is a
great
responsibility
given
by
nature
to
us.
Both,
the
father
and
the
mother,
should
be
aware
of
this
responsibility
and
hence
they
should
be
prepared,
physically
and
psychologically,
to
carry
it.
But,
still,
as
the
mother
has
to
carry
the
baby
in
her
womb,
nourish
it,
and
most
importantly,
give
birth
to
the
baby,
more
responsibility
rests
upon
her
shoulders.
Antenatal care
means
the
care
to
be
taken
during
pregnancy
each month.
In Ayurveda,
it
is
called
as
Masanumasiki
chikitsa.
The
word
masanumasiki
means
month-to-month
treatment.
According
to
Ayurveda,
there
is
different
medicinal
treatment
for
each
month
of
pregnancy.
Thus
there
are
9
different
groups
of
medicines
i.e.
herbs
for
each
month
of
pregnancy.
If
there
are
vitiated
doshas,
these
should
be
purified
with
the
help
of
panchakarmas.
Then
only,
the
couple
is
suitable
for
conception.
This
purification
is
called
pinda
shuddhi.
After
conception,
oral
medication
is
started
according
to
the
month
of
pregnancy.
As
per
Ayurvedic
concepts,
in
each
month
a
separate
dahtu
(body
building
substance)
is
formed
in
the
body
of
baby.
To
help
this
dhatu
to
grow
in
normal
way,
medication
is
started.
E.g.
in
the
fifth
month
of
pregnancy,
the
intellect
of
the
baby
begins
to
develop.
In
sixth
month,
it
gets
sharper.
So,
specific
medicines
which
act
on
the
intellect
are
given
to
the
mother
in
fifth
and
sixth
month.
Medicinal
treatment
is
not
the
only
thing
which
is
stressed
upon
in
Ayurveda.
Apart
from
treating
the
course
of
normal
pregnancy,
different
illnesses
which
may
occur
can
also
be
treated
with
Ayurveda.
Hypertension
(high
blood
pressure)
in
pregnancy
which
is
very
common
now
a
days,
hyperacidity,
excessive
vomiting,
diabetes
in
pregnancy,
edema,
premature
birth,
intrauterine
growth
retardation
are
some
of
the
problems
in
pregnancy
which
can
be
treated
with
the
help
of
Ayurveda.

Sujok
Therapy:
Invented by Prof. Park Jae Woo an eminent Korean philosopher and scientist Su Jok Therapy is a new approach to treatment. Su Joks Therapy, a part of ONNURI MEDICINE is a system of treatment comprising of a variety of techniques to prevent and cure illness and restore health without any drugs. The theoretical basis of this system of Healing is the discovery of self regulation Homo Energy System of Human Body whereby each Hand and foot and other locations of Human body carries information of each parts (organ) of human body. The Hands and Feet structurally being the most similar body parts to the Human Body, these corresponding micro points/areas can therefore be used most conveniently and effectively as remote controls to treat any diseased organ/part in the human body.
In Korean language SU means hand, and JOK means foot. The theoretical basis of this system of healing is the discovery in each hand and foot, shape and points corresponding to each part (organ) of human body. These corresponding micro points (systems) in hands and feet can therefore be used conveniently and effectively as remote controls to treat any diseased organ/part in human body.
